The Proper Fennel Cup (Tropical Sun)
The classic caffeine free fennel brew, a soft cup with a sweet, gentle aniseed note.

Fennel makes one of the easiest herbal cups there is: naturally sweet, gently aniseed and caffeine free. There is no milk and no fuss, just hot water and a few minutes to let the seed flavour open out. Good at any time of day.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Tropical Sun Fennel
- 250ml freshly boiled water (100C)
- Honey, optional, to taste
- A slice of lemon, optional
Method
- Pop the fennel bag in your favourite mug.
- Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Lift out the bag without squeezing it, which keeps the cup sweet rather than sharp.
- Taste, and add a little honey or a slice of lemon if you like.
- Sip warm and enjoy the gentle aniseed.
- For a stronger fennel note, press the bag once against the side of the mug before lifting; the aniseed character can handle it.
