Creamy Camomile Nightcap
A cosy, caffeine free camomile nightcap with honey, a splash of warm milk and a drop of vanilla.

Camomile dressed up for a cold evening: soft and floral as ever, but with honey for sweetness, a splash of warm milk for body and a single drop of vanilla to round it off. The milk turns it from a thin herbal into something closer to a warm, floral pudding in a mug. Caffeine free and quietly satisfying, it is the kind of cup worth taking five minutes over.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Rochambeau Camomile Infusion
- 250ml freshly drawn water at 100C, just off the boil
- 1 teaspoon of clear honey
- 25ml warm whole milk
- 1 drop of vanilla extract
- 1 280ml mug, warmed
- 1 saucer for covering during steep
Method
- Warm your mug with a splash of hot water and pour it away.
- Add 250ml of water straight off the boil, drop in the tea bag, cover and steep for five minutes.
- Lift the bag out, then stir in the honey and the drop of vanilla while the tea is hot.
- Add the warm milk and stir through.
- Drink it while it is still warm.
- Tip: warm the milk gently rather than boiling it, so it stays sweet and does not catch.
