I will leave the sleepy-tea claims alone and judge the cup, and on flavour this is a good pure camomile. Its strength is that purity: one flower, no blend, so the cup is clean and unmuddled, with deep honeyed sweetness, a crisp apple note that keeps it light, and a silky body that coats the throat as many thin camomile bags never do. The finish is clean with none of the dusty, hay-loft bitterness cheap camomile leaves behind, which usually points to better-quality flowers. Where the Dragonfly bedtime teas layer in valerian, lavender and mint, this does none of that, so pick it when you want camomile to taste of camomile and nothing else. Caffeine-free, fine any time, and a small spoon of honey lifts the natural sweetness without tipping it sugary. It also makes a clean iced infusion in summer. A simple, well-made single-ingredient cup, judged on taste alone.
