Morning Lemon Ginger Turmeric Shot
A 50ml concentrated lemon, ginger and turmeric shot to down in one before breakfast. Flavour bomb, pennies compared to bottled shots.

This lemon, ginger and turmeric shot is a 50ml concentrated brew to down in one: small enough for a single gulp, intense enough that the citrus, the ginger heat and the warming turmeric all land at once. It is a flavour hit rather than a long drink, and it costs pennies compared to the bottled juice shots in the chiller.

It uses Good Earth Lemon, Ginger and Turmeric, brewed tiny and strong with a slice of fresh ginger. Caffeine free, ready in five minutes.
You'll need
- 1 Good Earth Lemon, Ginger and Turmeric tea bag
- 60ml water at a full rolling boil
- 1 thin slice of fresh ginger
- A grind of black pepper
- Half a teaspoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Method
- Steep the bag with the slice of fresh ginger in just 60ml of rolling boiling water, covered, for 6 minutes. Tiny water and a long covered steep are what make it a shot rather than a small cup.
- Squeeze the bag and remove it along with the ginger slice.
- Stir in the black pepper, honey and lemon juice while it is hot, so they dissolve and mix in.
- Pour into a small glass; you should have about 50ml.
- Down it in one while it is still warm.
