Classic Warming Cup (Tropical Sun Noni And Ginger)

Tropical Sun Noni and Ginger is an unusual South Pacific-style cup, and worth getting to know. The earthy, tropical noni fruit is brought into line by a warming layer of ginger, with honey and a squeeze of lime to round off its strong character. Caffeine-free, and quite unlike any other herbal.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Tropical Sun Noni and Ginger
  • 300ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • Honey, to taste
  • A wedge of lime, optional

Method

  1. Pop the tea bag in a big mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 5 minutes so the ginger comes through and tames the noni.
  3. Lift out the bag without squeezing it.
  4. Stir in a little honey and squeeze in some lime; both balance the earthy noni.
  5. Sip warm.
  6. Noni divides people; most need 2 or 3 cups before the earthy tropical note reads as pleasant, so try again.
What you'll end up with: An unusual, caffeine-free cup where ginger, honey and lime keep the earthy tropical noni in check.
