The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

A mojito is built on mint and lime, so a grassy Green Tea slots in without a fight. Chilled Tropical Sun Moringa adds a soft, herbal green layer under the mint, lime and white rum, for a lighter, fresher take on the classic. Top with soda over plenty of ice. For over-18s, one measure per glass.

⏱ 10 min plus chilling 🍽 Makes 2 long drinks 📊 Easy 📚 Tea Cocktails (Adults Only)

You'll need

  • 2 tea bags of Tropical Sun Moringa
  • 200ml just-boiled water, cooled to around 80C (check with a thermometer)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar syrup
  • 50ml white rum (25ml per glass)
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • A good handful of fresh mint
  • Chilled soda water, to top, and plenty of ice

Method

  1. Let the boiled water stand for a minute, then steep the 2 moringa bags for 4 minutes, lift them out, stir in the honey and chill.
  2. Gently muddle the mint and a few lime wedges in the base of two tall glasses.
  3. Fill the glasses with ice, then divide the chilled moringa tea and the white rum between them.
  4. Top each with chilled soda water and stir gently.
  5. Finish with extra mint and a lime wedge, and serve straight away. One glass each.
  6. Muddle the mint with a few gentle presses, not hard; bruised leaves turn the drink sharp and grassy.
What you'll end up with: A fresh, green mojito where moringa deepens the mint and lime behind a measure of rum.
