Creamy Tea Martini with Typhoo QT Instant Tea

An espresso martini trick done with tea: instant tea shaken hard with vodka for a foamy top. Works without the vodka too.

Creamy Tea Martini With Typhoo Qt Instant Tea

This is an espresso martini's idea applied to tea. Shake a strong, cooled Instant Tea hard with vodka and the built in whitener throws up a glossy, frothy top, much like the foam on top of one. It is a clever little after dinner drink.

⏱ 5 min plus chilling 🍽 Serves 1 📊 Easy 📚 Tea Cocktails (Adults Only)

You'll need

  • 3 teaspoons of Typhoo QT One Cup Instant Tea
  • 60ml hot water (to dissolve)
  • 50ml vodka
  • 10ml sugar syrup
  • Ice

Method

  1. Dissolve the instant tea in the hot water until smooth, then chill it.
  2. Fill a shaker with ice. Add the cooled creamy tea, vodka and sugar syrup.
  3. Shake hard for about 15 seconds. The built in whitener gives a frothy top.
  4. Strain into a chilled martini glass. For an alcohol free version, swap the vodka for more chilled tea and a splash of soda.
  5. Double strain through a fine sieve for a smoother, frothier top.
What you'll end up with: A short after dinner cocktail with a glossy, foamy head, the whitener doing the work of the foam.
