It is the same richer, smoother Taylors of Harrogate Gold recipe as the bagged version, just without the bag, which lets the larger leaf open fully for a deeper, rounder cup. It comes in a resealable 250g foil pack and is the one for anyone who wants their best everyday brew from a proper pot, and the lowest-waste way to drink the Gold blend.
The base is one hundred percent black tea from leading estates in Assam, Kenya and Rwanda, blended for malty depth with a brisk African vibrancy. It is the top of the loose-leaf options we carry, above the standard Yorkshire and PG Tips loose leaves, rewarding a warmed pot and a measured spoonful rather than a rushed mug, and noticeably smoother and more nuanced than the Gold in a bag, the loose leaf giving more in the cup.
