Prep6 min YieldMakes 1 mug DifficultyEasy
Yogi Tea Organic Rose, 17 Tea Bags 34g, Decaffeinated Speciality Teas, Yogi Tea GmbH. Sold by Teas.co.uk.

Yogi Tea Organic Rose is a floral-and-spice Ayurvedic-style blend, rose petals with hibiscus, cinnamon and cardamom. Brewed five minutes, it gives a caffeine-free, rosy-pink cup, deeply perfumed with rose, softly tart from the hibiscus and warmed by gentle spice. A little honey balances the tartness.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Yogi Tea Organic Rose
  • 250ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • Honey, optional, to taste
  • A slice of lemon, optional

Method

  1. Pop the tea bag in your favourite mug.
  2. Pour over the freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 5 minutes so the rose and spices come through.
  3. Lift out the bag without squeezing it.
  4. Stir in a little honey to balance the soft hibiscus tartness, and add a slice of lemon if you like.
  5. Sip warm and enjoy a fragrant, pink cup.
  6. Steep the full five minutes and smell the cup before the first sip; the fragrance above the surface is half the pleasure.
What you'll end up with: A pretty rosy-pink, caffeine-free cup, fragrant with rose over a soft hibiscus tartness and gentle spice.
