How to Brew the True English Tea British Mix Collection
How to brew each bag in the True English Tea British Mix box: boiling water and milk for the black blends, cooler water for green, lemon for Earl Grey.

The British Mix Collection is a variety box of British classics, so the right brew depends on which bag you pull out. The black blends, English Breakfast and Earl Grey, want freshly boiled water; any green tea bag is better with water just off the boil. Black takes milk, Earl Grey and green take a slice of lemon.

Makes one cup. Match the brew to the bag and you get the best from every one in the box.
You'll need
- 1 tea bag from the True English Tea British Mix Collection
- 250ml freshly boiled water (let it stand a minute for any green tea bag)
- Milk or a slice of lemon, to taste
Method
- Pop the bag into your cup or mug.
- For a black blend, pour over freshly boiled water; for a green tea bag, let the kettle stand a minute first.
- Brew a black blend for 3 to 4 minutes, a green tea bag for just 2 to 3.
- Lift out the bag, then add milk to a black tea, or a slice of lemon to the Earl Grey or green.
- In short: black wants milk, Earl Grey and green want lemon, and green wants cooler water.
