Peppermint Hot Chocolate
A proper peppermint hot chocolate, with real dark chocolate and cocoa melted into milk and a cool mint lift from green mint tea.

Mint and chocolate are a classic pair, and here the mint comes from a green mint tea rather than an essence. Brew the tea strong, then stir it into a proper hot chocolate made with real dark chocolate and Cocoa melted into hot milk.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Cotterley Green Mint Tea
- 80ml water heated to 80C
- 220ml whole milk
- 35g dark chocolate, chopped

- 1 tablespoon whipped cream
- 1 300ml mug
Method
- Brew the tea bag in 80ml of water at about 80C for three minutes, then lift it out.

- Whisk the cocoa and chopped dark chocolate into the milk until smooth and glossy.
- Pour into a mug and stir the mint tea concentrate through.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Brew the tea at 80C, not boiling, so the green base and mint stay smooth rather than bitter.
