A Proper Cup of Moringa Green Tea
An easy single mug of moringa green tea, brewed gently so it stays clean and grassy rather than bitter.

Moringa gives this Green Tea an earthy, slightly leafy backbone, and it tastes best when the water sits just below boiling. Too hot and the green leaf turns bitter; at around 80C it stays soft and grassy.

There is barely any caffeine in it, so it suits any time of day. This makes one mug.
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Dalgety Moringa with Green Tea
- 200ml water heated to 80C
- 1 220ml mug, warmed
Method
- Rinse the mug with hot water and tip it away, so the tea does not cool the moment it lands.
- Heat 200ml of water to about 80C, just before it boils, to keep the green leaf from scalding.
- Add the bag, pour the water over, and cover for three minutes.
- Lift the bag out without squeezing it, since pressing a green bag pushes out the harsh tannins.
- If you want it stronger, brew a little longer rather than hotter, which keeps the bitterness away.
