The recipe

Exact quantities, then the method.

Cold brewing this tropical green is about the easiest summer drink there is. Left to steep in cold water, the mango and passion fruit come through as a soft, juicy sweetness, and with no heat involved the tannins never get a chance to turn it bitter or sharp.

A minute to set up, then the fridge does everything else. It is also very light on caffeine, so you can pour it morning, noon or evening. Get it going overnight and you wake up to a jug of smooth, fruity Green Tea.

⏱ 5 min plus 4 to 8 hours chilling 🍽 Serves 1 📊 Easy 📚 Cold Brew Tea Recipes

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Tetley Green Tea with Mango and Passion Fruit
  • 250ml cold, fresh water
  • A lidded glass or small jug
  • Optional: fresh mango chunks or a slice of lime

Method

  1. Drop one bag into 250ml of cold water in a lidded glass or jug, and skip the hot water entirely.
  2. Cover and chill for four to eight hours; overnight is ideal and you cannot really overdo it.
  3. Take the bag out. The slow cold steep has pulled the fruit through and left the bitterness behind.
  4. Serve over ice with a few mango chunks or a slice of lime, and finish it within a day.
What you'll end up with: A smooth, juicy cold brew, sweet with mango and passion fruit and very gentle on caffeine.
