Tropical Green Tea Punch
Cooled tropical green tea with pineapple juice, fizz and fresh fruit, a fruity alcohol free party punch.

Tropical Green Tea Punch is a big, fruity, alcohol free jug for a party or a sunny afternoon. Cooled mango and passion fruit green tea gives it a smooth, juicy base, fruit juice deepens the tropical flavour, and a splash of fizz keeps it lively.

Serves four to six. Brew the green at 80C and cool it first so the base stays smooth, then build the punch in a large jug or bowl and add the fizz only at the last minute so it stays sparkling.
You'll need
- 3 tea bags of Tetley Green Tea with Mango and Passion Fruit
- 300ml just off boil water cooled to about 80C (boil, then rest the kettle for roughly 90 seconds)
- 300ml pineapple or orange juice, chilled
- 300ml chilled sparkling water or lemonade
- Sliced orange, mango chunks and mint
- Plenty of ice
Method
- Rest the boiled kettle for about 90 seconds, then steep three bags in 300ml of roughly 80C water for 3 minutes. Lift the bags out without squeezing and let the tea cool.
- Pour the cooled tea into a large jug or bowl and stir in the fruit juice.
- Add plenty of ice and the sliced fruit.
- Top with the sparkling water or lemonade just before serving, stir gently, and ladle into glasses with mint.
- Float a fruit filled ice ring or a block of frozen juice in the bowl; it chills the punch far longer than cubes.
