Three Bag Ginger Lemon Warmer for a Crowd with Tetley Lemon and Ginger
A big pan of warm spiced lemon ginger for a cold day or bonfire night, caffeine free and alcohol free.

Three Bag Ginger Lemon Warmer turns the lemon ginger tea into a big, spiced, hands warming pan for a cold day or bonfire night, like a caffeine free, alcohol free mulled drink. Orange, cinnamon and cloves deepen the natural ginger heat into something properly festive.

Serves four to six. Steep gently with the spices, sweeten with honey, and ladle into mugs, leaving the spices behind.
You'll need
- 3 tea bags of Tetley Lemon and Ginger
- 1 litre freshly boiled water (100C)
- 3 tablespoons honey, to taste
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick and 2 cloves
- A few slices of fresh ginger (optional, for extra heat)
Method
- Put the bags, orange slices, cinnamon, cloves and fresh ginger in a large pan. Pour over the freshly boiled water.
- Steep gently for 8 to 10 minutes without boiling hard, removing the tea bags after 5 minutes so it does not turn bitter.
- Stir in the honey to taste.
- Ladle into mugs or heatproof glasses, leaving the spices behind. A warming, caffeine free, alcohol free batch for a crowd.
- Hold it on the lowest heat with a lid to serve over time; let it boil and the spice and citrus aromas cook away.
