Red Fruit Tea Party Punch
A big batch, alcohol free punch built on strong red fruit tea with apple juice, sparkling water and fresh fruit.

If you need a big jug of something cold and fruity that everyone can drink, this does the job. A strong brew of red fruit tea carries the flavour, apple juice rounds off the edges, and a last minute splash of sparkling water gives it a bit of lift. There is no alcohol in it, so it suits all ages, and the bowl looks the part with strawberries and citrus bobbing about.

You'll need
- 6 tea bags of Lipton Black Tea Red Fruits with French Strawberries
- 800ml just off boil water (95C)
- 600ml apple juice
- 400ml sparkling water, cold
- 200g fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- Ice cubes, plenty
- 1 2L glass punch bowl, ladle
Method
- Brew the 6 bags in 800ml just off boil water for six minutes, lift them out, then chill for at least thirty minutes. It needs to go in cold so the ice does not water it down straight away.
- Tip the cold tea into your punch bowl and stir in the apple juice.
- Add the sliced strawberries, lemon and orange, and give it a minute for the fruit to start flavouring the liquid.
- Just before serving, top with the cold sparkling water and a big handful of ice, then stir gently so you keep the fizz.
- Ladle into cups, getting a bit of the fruit into each one.
- Brew and chill the tea the night before, so all you do at party time is pour and serve.
