Lemongrass White Sangria (Tropical Sun, Adult Cocktail)
A summery white sangria lightened with chilled lemongrass tea, apple and orange. For over-18s.

Lemongrass and crisp white wine are a natural summer pairing, so a chilled brew of Tropical Sun Lemongrass makes a fine base for a white sangria. It lightens the wine, brings the apple and orange forward, and turns the jug into something fresher and easier to drink. For over-18s, in sensible measures.

You'll need
- 3 tea bags of Tropical Sun Lemongrass
- 300ml freshly boiled water (100C)
- 1 bottle chilled dry white wine
- 1 apple and 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey, or to taste
- Soda water, to top, and plenty of ice
Method
- Steep the 3 lemongrass bags in the boiled water for 5 minutes, then lift them out and stir in the honey while warm.
- Leave the lemongrass tea to cool, then chill it well.
- Pour the white wine and the chilled lemongrass tea into a large jug and add the sliced fruit.
- Chill for at least an hour so the flavours mingle.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice, pour over the sangria and top each with a splash of soda. Drink responsibly.
- Use a dry Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc, not an oaked Chardonnay; the lighter wine keeps the lemongrass in front.
