Makes a jug for four. Brew it strong, chill it down, then pour long over ice with lemon and mint.

You'll need

  • 4 tea bags of Twinings Detox
  • 800ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • 1 lemon, half juiced and half sliced
  • A few sprigs of fresh mint
  • Plenty of ice

Method

  1. Brew strong: steep the 4 bags in the boiled water for 6 minutes, then lift them out.
  2. Stir in the honey while warm if using, then leave to cool and chill.
  3. Pour the chilled tea into a large jug and add the lemon juice.
  4. Add the lemon slices and mint, top with plenty of ice, and serve in tall glasses.
  5. A bruised stalk of fresh lemongrass dropped in deepens the flavour as it chills.
What you'll end up with: A long, clean glass of lemongrass and lemon over a gentle ginger base, easy to drink any time.
