How to Brew the Twinings Wellbeing Collection

Prep5 min YieldMakes 1 cup DifficultyEasy
Twinings Wellbeing Collection, 20 Tea Bags 37g, Fruit and Herbal Tea, R. Twining and Company Limited. Sold by Teas.co.uk.

The Wellbeing Collection is a variety box, four bags each of five different Superblends, so the right brew depends on which one you pull out. The trick is simple: the herbal blends want boiling water and a full five minutes, while any green-tea blend is better with water just off the boil for two to three minutes.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag from the Twinings Wellbeing Collection
  • 200ml freshly boiled water (use it just off the boil for green-tea blends)
  • A little honey or a slice of lemon, to taste (optional)

Method

  1. Pop the bag into your favourite cup or mug.
  2. For a herbal blend, pour over freshly boiled water. For a green-tea blend, let the kettle stand a minute first so it drops to around 80C.
  3. Steep a herbal blend for 5 minutes; give a green-tea blend just 2 to 3 minutes so it does not turn bitter.
  4. Lift out the bag, then add a little honey or lemon if you like.
  5. In short: long and hot for herbal, short and cooler for green.
What you'll end up with: Every flavour in the box brewed at its best, the herbals full and rounded, the greens fresh and clean.
