Cold-Brewed Twinings Apple And Pear Green Tea (Overnight)

Left to steep cold overnight, Twinings Apple and Pear Green Tea turns into a jug that drinks a lot like pressed orchard juice with a Green Tea backbone. The fridge does all the work, pulling out the apple and pear gently so nothing turns bitter, and you wake up to iced tea that needs little more than a few apple slices.

You'll need

  • 4 tea bags of Twinings Apple and Pear Green Tea
  • 1 litre cold water
  • A little honey, to taste (optional)
  • Ice and a few apple slices, to serve

Method

  1. Put the 4 bags into a large jug and pour over the cold water.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours, or overnight.
  3. Lift out the bags (no need to squeeze), and stir in a little honey if you want it sweeter.
  4. Serve over ice with a few apple slices.
  5. Freeze apple juice into ice cubes the night before and use them to keep the pitcher cold without diluting the apple flavour.
What you'll end up with: A mellow cold brew full of gentle apple and pear, sweet on its own and easy to drink by the glass.
