Brewing Twinings Little Lift (Green Tea With Lemongrass And Ginger)

Twinings Little Lift is a Green Tea and Matcha blend lifted with lemongrass and a little ginger. Like any green tea it dislikes boiling water, so let the kettle settle to around 80C first, then keep the steep short. Done that way it stays fresh and a touch warming, never bitter.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Twinings Little Lift
  • 200ml freshly boiled water, cooled for about a minute (around 80C)
  • A slice of lemon, to taste (optional)

Method

  1. Boil the kettle, then let it stand for about a minute so the water drops to around 80C.
  2. Pop the bag into your cup and pour the water over.
  3. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes, no longer, so it does not turn bitter.
  4. Lift the bag out without squeezing it, then add a slice of lemon if you like.
  5. Any leftover brew keeps in the fridge for a day and is good cold over ice.
What you'll end up with: A fresh green cup with bright lemongrass and a gentle ginger warmth, brewed gently.
