An Evening Cup of Yorkshire Tea Decaf

Yorkshire Tea Decaf brewed the right way, with all the body and none of the caffeine, ready for the last cup of the day.

An Evening Cup Of Yorkshire Tea Decaf

This is Yorkshire Tea with the caffeine taken out by Taylors of Harrogate, and crucially without the body stripped out with it. Brewed properly it still drinks like a real Yorkshire cup, only one you can have last thing at night.

The catch with any decaf is that it turns thin if you rush it. Give it boiling water and a steady four to five minutes, then finish with milk.

You'll need

  • 1 tea bag of Yorkshire Tea Decaf
  • 200ml freshly boiled water (100C)
  • A splash of milk
  • Sugar to taste (optional)

Method

  1. Boil fresh water and pour it over the bag at a full 100C. Decaf still needs proper heat to give its best.
  2. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes to draw out the flavour.
  3. Press the bag against the side of the mug, then lift it out.
  4. Add a little milk, and sugar if you like. With no caffeine, this is the cup for the end of the day.
  5. Decaf can taste flat if you hurry it, so always give it the full five minutes.
What you'll end up with: A brisk, full flavoured cup, fully decaffeinated, so a proper Yorkshire brew can be the last drink of the day.
