Islands Chocolate
Single-origin Caribbean cocoa, bean-to-bar artisan chocolate drinks.
Islands Chocolate launched in 2018 after direct cocoa farming began in St Vincent in 2011. It grows cocoa on its own St Vincent farms and works with selected ethical partners to produce traceable chocolate, flakes and hot chocolate powders.
Islands Chocolate is the artisan drinking chocolate I send people to when they're bored of supermarket cocoa. Bean-to-bar Caribbean, fair-trade, properly chocolatey rather than sugary. The 70% Dark cup is closer to a French chocolat chaud than a British powdered drink, sit-and-savour rather than gulped.
About Islands Chocolate
Islands Chocolate is the drinking chocolate we reach for when a customer is bored of supermarket cocoa. It grows cocoa on its own farms in St Vincent, where direct cocoa farming began in 2011. The Marriott family took the operation on in 2014, a small on-island chocolate kitchen followed in 2015, and the UK-facing brand launched in 2018. That farm-to-cup provenance is the point: the cocoa drives the cup rather than sugar and bulking powder.
The range covers hot chocolate powders, flakes and chocolate, made with St Vincent cocoa and selected ethical partners. For our shelf Islands Chocolate is the Caribbean drinking chocolate we send people to when supermarket cocoa has stopped satisfying them: properly chocolatey rather than sugary, and a treat rather than an everyday cup. For the customer who wants drinking chocolate to taste of chocolate, this is the one that delivers it.
