How to Brew Tetley Green Tea with Mango and Passion Fruit
The tropical green brewed with care: water off the boil and a short steep, for a juicy, fruit sweet cup that never turns bitter.

Tetley Green Tea with Mango and Passion Fruit is the tropical one in the range, and it deserves the same gentle brewing as any green: water a little off the boil and a steep that does not drag on. Brewed well, sweet mango comes through first, then a tangy passion fruit lift, all sitting on a smooth green base, juicy tasting with no sugar in it at all.

The fruit only shines if the green underneath has not been scorched, so let the kettle cool for a minute or so before pouring. Straight off a hard boil and the base turns bitter, which buries the fruit.
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Tetley Green Tea with Mango and Passion Fruit
- 200ml just off boil water cooled to about 80C (boil the kettle, then let it stand for roughly 90 seconds)
- Optional: a little honey if you like it sweeter
Method
- Boil the kettle and let it sit for about 90 seconds to fall to roughly 80C, since fully boiling water scorches green tea.
- Put a bag in your mug and pour over 200ml of the slightly cooled water.
- Steep for two to three minutes, no longer, then lift the bag out and let it drip without squeezing.
- The fruit gives plenty of sweetness on its own, so drink it as it is, adding honey only if you want it sweeter.
