Honey and Ginger Hot Toddy (Tropical Sun)
A whisky hot toddy built on Tropical Sun Honey and Ginger, with a squeeze of lemon. The classic, with the honey and ginger built in.

If a hot toddy is honey, ginger, lemon and whisky, then Tropical Sun Honey and Ginger has done most of the work before you start. Brew it strong, add a measure of whisky and a squeeze of lemon, and you have the genuine article with barely any effort. The honey is already in the tea, so you may not need any more.

You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Tropical Sun Honey and Ginger
- 200ml freshly boiled water (100C)
- 35ml whisky
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 2 slices of lemon
Method
- Brew strong: steep the bag in the boiled water for 5 minutes, then lift it out.
- Stir in the extra honey if you want it sweeter.
- Add the whisky and the juice of one lemon slice, and stir.
- Pour into a heatproof glass, drop in the second lemon slice, and serve warm.
- A honey whisky or a light blended Scotch works better here than a peated variety; the extra sweetness in the tea can tip a heavily peated whisky into sharpness.
