Brewing Twinings Buttermint (Peppermint and Butterscotch)
How to brew Twinings Buttermint: just boiled water and a good steep for a cool peppermint cup with a butterscotch note.

Twinings Buttermint is an unusual one: cool peppermint leaf with a sweet butterscotch note over the top, so it drinks more like a mint dessert than a plain herbal, and there is no caffeine in it. Give it a five minute steep in just boiled water to pull out both the mint and the butterscotch.

Makes one cup. No milk needed, though a splash leans it further towards pudding.
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Twinings Buttermint
- 200ml freshly boiled water (100C)
- A splash of milk or a little honey, to taste (optional)
Method
- Pop the bag into your favourite cup or mug.
- Pour over the freshly boiled water.
- Steep for 5 minutes to draw out the peppermint and butterscotch.
- Lift out the bag, add a splash of milk or a little honey if you like, and enjoy.
- Keep the cup away from strong smelling food while it brews, as peppermint picks up other aromas easily.
