Natural bamboo
Warm in the hand and visually quieter than polished metal or plastic.
Handwoven bamboo · made in Thailand · loose-leaf teaware
Two handmade bamboo strainers for a clean loose-leaf pour: one compact and finely woven, one slim with a longer handle.
Lee's teaware note
“A bamboo strainer is simple by design. It catches the leaf, avoids a metal taste around delicate teas, and looks better on the tray than a gadget-heavy infuser.”
Teaware, not tea
Tunta is the teaware corner of the catalogue. These handwoven bamboo pieces sit over a cup or pot and catch loose leaves as brewed tea is poured through.
Warm in the hand and visually quieter than polished metal or plastic.
Individual weaving means small differences in colour and shape are normal.
The open weave lets liquor pass while holding back the loose tea leaf.
Rinse by hand after use and let the bamboo dry fully in moving air.
Two shapes, one job
Both are £12 and currently in stock. The distinction is the form you prefer to hold and store.
A compact, closely woven basket form designed for a neat, controlled strain.
Choose for the finer, more sculptural weaveA slimmer handled shape that feels familiar when lifting it across a mug or pot.
Choose for reach and easy everyday handlingUse and care
Bamboo lasts best when it is cleaned promptly, never left soaking and allowed to dry with air on every side.
Let loose leaves open freely in your pot, gaiwan or brewing vessel.
Rest it securely across the receiving cup or serving pot.
Pour steadily so the bamboo weave catches the spent leaves.
Hand rinse promptly, shake off water and dry fully. Do not use a dishwasher.
