"content_text": "Yorkshire's seasonal Biscuit Brew returned for spring. The novelty tea that earned its place in the regulars list. Tastes like a malted digestive in a cup. Sounds odd, drinks great. Restocked through end of summer.\n\nBiscuit Brew is the most accomplished flavoured black tea Taylors have shipped. The biscuit note comes from a malted barley extract and a touch of natural caramel, layered over the standard Yorkshire Tea base (Assam, Kenyan, Rwandan). The flavour holds with milk and a strong brew, which is the test most biscuit-flavoured teas fail.\nTaylors run it as a seasonal: in the catalogue spring to end of summer, off shelf October to February. The marketing rationale is \"fresh for biscuit-and-tea picnic season\". The operational rationale is that the flavour profile drifts in storage past nine months, so a tight rotation keeps the cup quality up. Pick a side.\nYorkshire Tea is the consumer brand inside Taylors of Harrogate, family-owned and based in North Yorkshire since 1886. They are one of the top UK black tea brands by volume, and unusually, the only one in the top five not owned by a multinational. Biscuit Brew is part of their wider strategy to push flavour innovation without losing the everyday-brew loyalists.\nBrew it strong (four minutes, just-boiled), big splash of full-fat milk, no sugar. A digestive on the side is too on-the-nose and crosses into pastiche. A plain Hobnob or a Rich Tea works better. The biscuit note from the cup wins through best when it is the only biscuit in play.\nBrowse the related Yorkshire Tea range at teas.co.uk.\n\nSource: Teas.co.uk.
