"content_text": "One of the most repurchased teas on the site is being pulled by Twinings. We have 140 boxes left. When it's gone, it's gone. Here's what Lee thinks you should try instead: PG Tips Green with Lemon for the citrus angle, or Pukka Three Mint for the cleaner finish.\n\nFlavoured green tea is a tough category for established brands. The base \u2014 a quality blended sencha \u2014 costs more than a black-tea base of similar grade. The flavour layer needs to be subtle enough not to overwhelm the green, which is technically harder than perfuming a black. And the consumer is more price-sensitive than the black-tea customer. When a Twinings strategy review weighs profit margin against turnover, the borderline flavoured greens get cut. Salted Caramel Green sat right on that line.\nWhat made the blend work was the matching of the caramel sweetness against the sencha's natural umami. Both are savoury-adjacent. Most caramel teas pair with black bases because the bitterness needs the sweetness to balance; on a green base, the caramel reads as a complement rather than a cover. The salt micro-dose was the differentiator: it lifted the second sip rather than the first, the way salt does on a fruit dessert.\nPG Tips Green with Lemon is the closest swap if your reason for liking the original was the bright top-note. Same green-base concept, citrus instead of caramel, similar price point. Pukka Three Mint is what to drink if you liked the slightly sweet finish without the caramel sweetness; mint hits the same end-of-cup signal. Neither is a like-for-like replacement. Honest answer: there is not a direct one on a UK shelf right now. If you find one, tell us.\n140 boxes at our current sell-through rate gives roughly six weeks before the SKU is gone. We are not allocating to subscribers (no Subscribe and Save lock-in on discontinuing lines). First-come-first-served on the listing page. Once gone, the page will redirect to PG Tips Green with Lemon as the closest match. Subscribers on Salted Caramel Green get an email a week before stock-out with the option to switch to PG Tips Green with Lemon, pick a different alternative, or pause.\nBrowse the related Twinings range at teas.co.uk.\n\nSource: Teas.co.uk.
