The Proper Hot Cup of Twinings Jasmine Green Tea (80C, 2 Minutes)
teas.co.uk · 5 min · Makes 1 cup
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Twinings Jasmine Green Tea
- 200ml freshly boiled water, cooled to around 80C (check with a thermometer)
- A little honey, to taste (optional)
Method
- After boiling, let the kettle drop to around 80C for the jasmine green tea; confirm it with a thermometer or the kettle's own setting.
- Jasmine bag into the cup, then the water over it.
- Steep for 2 minutes, no longer, to keep the leaf soft and let the jasmine come through.
- Take the jasmine bag out unsqueezed; a little honey is up to you.
- Jasmine green tea needs no sweetener; the floral note is naturally pleasant and honey can mask the delicacy of the jasmine.
