How to Brew Green Mint Tea
teas.co.uk · 6 min · Serves 1
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Lipton Green Mint Tea
- 250ml freshly drawn water cooled to 80C
- 1 250ml mug, warmed
- 1 saucer for covering during steep
Method
- Warm your mug with a little hot water and tip it out.
- Boil the kettle and let it stand a minute or two to drop to around 80C.
- Drop in the tea bag and pour the cooled water over.
- Cover with a saucer and steep for just three minutes, no longer, to keep it from turning bitter.
- Lift the bag out. Drink it as it is, or add fresh mint and a little sugar Moroccan style.
- Tip: pour from a height into the cup for a light, frothy top, the way it is done in Morocco.
