Brewing Twinings Metabolism Green Tea (Without the Bitterness)
teas.co.uk · 5 min · Makes 1 cup
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Twinings Metabolism
- 200ml freshly boiled water, cooled to around 80C (check with a thermometer)
- A slice of lemon, to taste (optional)
Method
- Boil the kettle and wait until it is down to around 80C for this minty green tea; a kitchen thermometer or a kettle temperature setting confirms it.
- Pop the minty green bag into your cup and add the water.
- Steep for 2 to 3 minutes, no longer, to keep its flavour gentle.
- Lift the minty green bag out unsqueezed and add lemon if you like.
- If it comes out grassy or sharp, shorten the next steep rather than reaching for sugar.
