teas.co.uk · 5 min · Serves 1
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Lipton Black Tea with Spanish Orange
- 250ml freshly drawn water at 100C, just off the boil
- 1 thin strip of fresh orange peel, peeled with a vegetable peeler
- 1 250ml mug, warmed
- 1 saucer for covering during steep
Method
- Warm your mug and bring the water to a full, rolling boil.
- Add one tea bag and pour over 250ml of the boiling water.
- Cover and steep for four minutes.
- Lift out the bag, draining it against the rim.
- Peel a thin strip of orange, twist it over the cup to release the oils, then drop it in.
- Tip: use just the coloured peel, not the white pith underneath, which turns it bitter.
