teas.co.uk · 5 min · Serves 1
You'll need
- 1 tea bag of Lipton Black Tea with Spanish Lemons
- 250ml freshly drawn water at 100C, just off the boil
- 1 thin slice of fresh lemon
- 1 250ml mug, warmed
- 1 saucer for covering during steep
Method
- Warm your mug and bring the water to a rolling boil.
- Add one tea bag and pour over 250ml of the boiling water.
- Cover and steep for four minutes to draw out the full citrus.
- Lift the bag out, letting it drain against the rim.
- Drop in a thin slice of fresh lemon if you want a sharper edge.
- Tip: leave the milk out; it curdles against the citrus and mutes the lemon.
