teas.co.uk · 10 min plus 8 hours fridge · Makes 1 litre
You'll need
- 5 Dalgety Moringa with Green Tea bags
- 1 litre chilled filtered water
- 1 thin strip of fresh lemon peel, pith trimmed off
- 2 fresh ginger root coins, peeled and gently crushed (about 15g)
- 1 clean sterilised 1-litre glass bottle with a tight fitting lid
- 1 large mixing jug
- To serve per glass: cubed ice, a fresh lemon slice for the rim
Method
- Drop five tea bags into a large jug with the lemon peel and the crushed ginger.
- Pour over a litre of cold filtered water and give it one gentle stir; do not squeeze the bags.
- Cover the jug and leave it in the fridge for about eight hours, or simply overnight.
- In the morning, lift out the bags, peel and ginger, then strain through a fine sieve to catch any sediment.
- Bottle it, label it with the date, and keep it in the fridge for up to four days.
- To serve, pour about 200ml over a glass of ice and add a slice of lemon.
- It needs no sugar, but if you prefer it sweeter, stir a little honey into the bottle on the first day.
