Cold Brew Mao Feng Green Tea

You'll need
- 5 Teapigs Mao Feng Green Tea tea temples
- 1 litre cold filtered water
- A few slices of cucumber or a sprig of mint, optional
- A 1 litre jug or bottle with a lid
- Ice, to serve
Method
- Put the 5 temples into the jug, add the optional cucumber or mint, and pour over the litre of cold filtered water.
- Lid and refrigerate 6 to 8 hours, or overnight. Cold water cannot scorch green leaf, so it is impossible to make it bitter this way.
- Lift the temples out, press very gently and discard.
- It is naturally sweet and delicate; it needs nothing added.
- Serve over ice. Cold brew green tea is also naturally lower in caffeine than a hot brew, so it suits later in the day.
- Best drunk within 2 days; green tea fades faster than black even cold brewed.
