Builder's Brew

You'll need

Method

  1. Warm a big mug with a little just boiled water and tip it out.
  2. Pour in 280ml of water straight off the boil.
  3. Add the tea bag, cover, and leave it a good five minutes; a builder's brew wants to be strong.
  4. Squeeze the bag firmly against the side of the mug with a teaspoon to wring out the last of the strength, then lift it out.
  5. Add the milk and two sugars and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  6. Tip: a digestive or rich tea on the side for dunking is practically compulsory.
