A Proper Pot of Yorkshire Tea Original Loose Leaf
teas.co.uk · 7 min · Serves 1 (scale up for a pot)
You'll need
- 1 heaped teaspoon of Yorkshire Tea Original Loose Leaf per cup, plus one for the pot
- Freshly boiled water (100C), about 200ml per cup
- A teapot with an infuser, or a separate strainer
- Milk and sugar to taste
Method
- Warm the teapot, then add one heaped teaspoon of loose leaf per cup plus one for the pot.
- Pour over freshly boiled water at a full 100C and steep for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Stir once, then pour through a strainer into the cups.
- Add milk and sugar to taste. Loose leaf brews stronger than a bag.
- Give the leaves room to move in a roomy pot, as cramped leaves brew unevenly.
